Coe College, a small liberal arts college of 1,200 students in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, seeks qualified applicants for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Psychology. The successful candidate will have a specialization in behavioral or cognitive neuroscience. The successful candidate will teach a 3:3 load, including regularly teaching Biopsychology and upper-level neuroscience courses. Additional courses may include Introductory Psychology, Statistics, a first-year seminar and/or upper-level seminar course in an area of interest to the candidate. The Department is committed to a student-centered perspective and an inclusive approach to teaching and research. A doctoral degree is required by the start date. Preference will be given to candidates who can provide evidence of successful teaching, an active program of research adaptable to student-faculty collaboration, and who have an academic background in psychology. Candidates from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply. Coe’s Psychology Department includes seven full-time faculty and is an integral part of the college’s interdisciplinary Neuroscience major. The Department has a strong commitment to provide intensive, hands-on research experiences and internship placements for its students.
