About The Position

Xavier University's College of Nursing seeks an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member to teach in its nurse practitioner tracks within the MSN program, beginning Spring 2027. The desired specialty is Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP); expertise in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is also preferred, and candidates with expertise in multiple specialties are highly desirable. Faculty may teach in online, asynchronous MSN nurse practitioner tracks, the BSN program, and/or MSN core courses according to program needs. Teaching may take place in classroom, online, laboratory, or simulation environments. Undergraduate and accelerated programs are traditionally on campus and require faculty presence; online graduate programs also require some on-campus presence. This is a 12-month faculty position, with teaching assignments in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. A 9-month appointment may be considered, although 12 months is preferred. The faculty member may provide practicum coordination and will contribute to curriculum and course development, clinical experiences, assessment, advising, scholarly work, professional development, and college and university service. The College of Nursing is part of Xavier Health and supports the University's Jesuit Catholic mission, including academic excellence, service, ethical leadership, compassion, and care for the whole person. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references through Xavier University's website. Applications will be reviewed immediately and accepted until the position closes at the University's discretion. Xavier University is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
