This position is for a tenure-track, 12-month Assistant Professor of Forest Ecohydrology at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM). The role involves establishing an innovative, dynamic, nationally-recognized research program in forest ecohydrology, developing grant proposals and securing funding, publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and recruiting and mentoring graduate students. The successful candidate will also serve as an advisor for undergraduate students and coordinate or contribute to cooperative research efforts with faculty and other stakeholders in the region. Teaching duties will include undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in watershed management and related areas. The appointment is approximately 70% research and 30% teaching. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master’s degree programs, located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautiful timberlands.
