About The Position

The Division of Social Sciences, Business, and Education at Penn State Abington seeks one (1) tenure-track Assistant Professor in the field of Finance. This position is a nine-month appointment, starting August 2026. The review process will begin January 15, 2026 and continue until the position is filled. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in the discipline of Finance or related field by July 15, 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach students from diverse backgrounds and foster student success both inside and outside the classroom. Inclusion of undergraduate students in research and experiential learning opportunities is encouraged. Regular on-campus presence is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

Earned doctorate in the discipline of Finance or related field by July 15, 2026

List of courses taught at the university level
Statement on their experience with and teaching pedagogy for addressing the learning needs of diverse and first-generation students in higher education
Research statement

Responsibilities

Teach nine (9) contact hours per semester (Courses may include, but not limited to: Corporation Finance, and upper-level finance courses such as Multinational Financial Management, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Derivative Securities)
Advise majors related to their discipline
Develop a robust research program that can lead to publications, external grant funding, etc.
Provide service to the Division, College, and University, and to the profession.
