About The Position

Chatham University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Professor of Nursing to teach in our online RN-BSN, MSN, or DNP programs. This faculty position reports directly to the Nursing Program Director and provides an exciting opportunity to advance nursing education within a collaborative, student-centered environment. As a key member of the faculty, the successful candidate will support the mission of Chatham University through high-quality instruction, active engagement in scholarly activities, and meaningful service to the university and the broader community. We seek a dedicated educator and practitioner who is committed to preparing the next generation of nursing professionals. This position is not remote. On-campus presence is required.

Requirements

• Current unencumbered Pennsylvania professional nursing license, or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Two degrees in nursing.
• Commitment to achieve doctoral degree within three years of hire, if not already achieved.
• Must be able to travel to campus regularly.

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, and accreditation preferred.
• Online nursing teaching experience preferred.
• Defined clinical scholarly agenda.

Responsibilities

• Teaching online courses in the RN-BSN, MSN, or DNP Program.
• Grading student assignments and providing student feedback in a timely manner.
• Advising assigned nursing students.
• Participating in professional, university, and departmental service.
• Engaging in a program of scholarship.
• Fulfilling course liaison duties as assigned.
• Establishing and maintaining effective, timely, clear, professional communication with students, faculty, and staff.
• Committed to continuous quality improvement.
