About The Position

B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary at East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time, career-track position in Counseling. The position will include teaching 24 credit hours per year of graduate courses for the Counseling program. Other expectations are participation in departmental meetings and review, contribution to curriculum development, recruiting, and student advising duties.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in Counseling from a CACREP accredited institution.
  • Teaching experience.
  • A record of professional involvement.
  • A strong commitment to academic scholarship and teaching.
  • The ability to communicate well with students and colleagues.
  • An appreciation and commitment to teach in Christian higher education through the integration of biblical faith and learning.
  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Lifestyles consistent with the University’s biblical standards of morality, temperance, stewardship.
  • Membership and active participation in the faculty member’s local Christian church.
  • A professing Christian believer with a demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • A model of Christ-like character, servant leadership, integrity, ethics and biblical/moral truths.
  • Support ETBU's distinct Christ-centered educational mission.
  • Share the institutional commitment to the integration of biblical faith and academic learning.
  • Commitment to Christ-centered, faith-integrated service and devotion to students’ intellectual enlightenment, spiritual formation, servant leadership development, and career preparation.

  • Active member of a local Baptist church or Christian denominational church, and regularly attends church.
