About The Position

Arcadia University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Economics to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Economics, both in-person and online. The role involves maintaining office hours, conducting research, and being scholarly active to meet tenure expectations. The professor will also serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate students, providing guidance on course selection and academic success. Additionally, the position includes coordinating the Economics Program (Minor in Economics) within the School of Global Business (SGB), performing service duties for the school and university, and developing relationships with the business and academic community to ensure students are workforce-ready. The role also requires performing necessary course and program assessments for ACBSP accreditation.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Economics or related field required by August 2025; A.B.D.s will be considered.
• At least two (2) years of college teaching experience teaching general and specialized Economics courses.
• At least one (1) year of student advising for students in economics programs.
• Experience can be gained pre or post attainment of PhD.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Economics in-person and online.
• Maintain regular office hours for student consultations.
• Conduct appropriate research and be scholarly active.

• Provide academic support to advisees and students.
