About The Position
The Computer Science department coordinates six high-quality innovative degree programs: undergraduate majors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, and Cognitive Science, along with graduate programs in Human Computer Interaction and Biomedical Health Informatics. The Computer Science Department at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill a full-time Assistant Professor.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field by time of appointment
- Documented teaching and research ability in cybersecurity
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Legally able to work in the United States per the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate cybersecurity courses, as well as other core and elective computer science and software engineering courses for undergraduates.
- Conducting relevant research, sponsoring and oversee student projects, and participate in advisement and other department and campus service.
- Contribute to efforts to create an inclusive environment that respects, embraces, and promotes cultural safety, belonging, civil discourse, cultural humility, and other values and goals outlined in SUNY Oswego's Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
