About The Position

The Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in business analytics, starting in fall 2027. The faculty member will teach graduate- and undergraduate-level courses, maintain an active research agenda, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and participate in service and student involvement at the department, college, and university levels.

The ITM department offers undergraduate programs in business analytics, business information technology, cybersecurity, financial enterprise systems, and management information systems, as well as master’s degrees in business analytics, cybersecurity, and information and technology management. The department is housed in a technology building with cybersecurity labs and computer classrooms.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or ABD from an AACSB-accredited school in management information systems or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach three four-credit-hour courses each semester at graduate and undergraduate levels in business statistics and analytics and introduction to information systems.
• Maintain an active research agenda.
• Publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
• Engage in service and student involvement activities at the department, college, and university levels.
