About The Position

The Assistant Professor of Business will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in general business and management. Additional teaching experience in undergraduate human resources and entrepreneurship is highly desirable. The faculty member will contribute expertise to course and curriculum development efforts within the school and in interdisciplinary endeavors. All Carroll University faculty are expected to participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness, to maintain currency in the discipline, and to grow as a leader. In addition, this position will be involved in service to the school and university through representation and meaningful participation on committees, student recruitment and engagement activities, student advising, and assessment programs.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in a business-related discipline OR a master's degree with relevant experience.
  • Expertise in introductory business, management, organizational behavior, human resources, and entrepreneurship.
  • Successful and effective teaching track record.
  • Proficiency using a wide variety of productivity tools, including Canvas and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with experiential, problem-based, and active learning pedagogical approaches.
  • Willingness and ability to support and advance the University mission and ethos.
  • Willingness and ability to support and advance the University mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional teaching experience in undergraduate human resources and entrepreneurship.
  • Teaching experience with online or hybrid modalities.
  • Prior business or industry experience.
