About The Position

William Paterson University invites applications for one (1) full-time, 10-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Nursing. The department is committed to preparing nurses to deliver culturally sensitive, caring, and competent nursing care to diverse clients in various settings. The growing nursing program has graduates who achieve significant clinical, academic, research, supervisory, and administrator-level positions. This role involves teaching, service, and scholarship, contributing to the strategic and academic goals of the department, college, and university.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in nursing required if doctorate is in a discipline other than nursing.
  • RN license – State of New Jersey

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, online, hybrid, and face-to-face.
  • Develop course content, objectives, and measures per department needs.
  • Provide students with consistent and effective support and guidance for retention and success.
  • Contribute to student success through curriculum and program development, as well as program and learning assessment.
  • Contribute to the strategic and academic goals of the department, college, and university through teaching, service, and engagement.
  • Participate in select department, college, and university committees designed to enhance didactic processes and/or programs.
  • Serve as required in community service activities and other service/professional duties as assigned.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an active ongoing program of professional development and academic engagement in one's field and discipline.
  • Disseminate findings via scholarly publication and presentation/grant activities.
