About The Position

The Department of Nursing invites applications for a Full-Time Nursing Faculty position. We seek an enthusiastic, student-centered nurse educator committed to preparing the next generation of professional nurses through excellence in teaching, clinical instruction, advising, and service.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
• Active, unencumbered Virginia RN license or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in nursing education or demonstrated teaching ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in classroom, laboratory, simulation, online, and clinical settings.
• Implement and evaluate curriculum and student learning.
• Advise and mentor nursing students.
• Supervise students in clinical experiences and ensure safe, effective learning.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation activities, and committee service.
• Maintain professional competence through continued practice and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
