Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Management or appropriately related field from an accredited institution (ABD with completion date no later than August 2026 considered)
  • Ability to effectively work with a diverse body of students, staff, and faculty
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the utilization of technology
  • Maintenance of an active applied research or professional development agenda
  • Willingness to engage with external stakeholders
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience across multiple delivery modes including full online
  • Extensive knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the profession

Responsibilities

  • Developing and teaching undergraduate courses in General Business and Management (Foundations of Business, Organizational Behavior, Business Analytics, Social Responsibility and Ethics, Project Management, Leadership, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship, and/or Supply Chain)
  • Sustained interaction with business and industry
  • Assessment/evaluation of instruction
  • Career advisement, recruitment, and retention activities
  • Participation in college and University committees
  • Classroom and online instruction
  • Scholarly activity sufficient to maintain faculty appointment including a consistent record of publishing in high-quality and impactful journals
  • Service to college and University, including career advising and committees
  • Curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Assessment and evaluation of instruction
  • Engagement with the business community
  • Activities in support of the recruitment and retention of students
  • Attendance and participation in all faculty and administrative meetings, Student Research Symposium, commencement ceremonies, and other meetings/events as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates
  • Requires consistent on-time attendance
