The University of Tampa is seeking an Assistant Professor for Information and Technology Management. Requirements

  • U.S. Ph.D. from an AACSB- or ABET-accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • 6 months of experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant or closely related job occupation.
  • Demonstrate teaching ability and mastery of the field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach three four-credit-hour courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels each semester in the cybersecurity field, such as Information Security Principles, Network Security, and Risk Management and Compliance.
  • Develop and grade examinations, assignments, and other coursework.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and academic records.
  • Prepare comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Evaluate and revise curricula, course content, and instructional methods as needed.
  • Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions and foster an interactive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in Information and Technology Management through research, professional development, and conferences.
  • Select and obtain course materials, such as textbooks and other resources.
  • Publish articles in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
  • Engage in service and student involvement opportunities at the department, college, and university levels.
