About The Position

The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) seeks highly qualified applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in International Business with an Emphasis on Strategy, beginning Fall 2027. Requirements

Relevant earned doctorate degree in International Business or a closely related field from an AACSB or similarly accredited institution by the start date.
A record indicating potential for significant scholarship in high-quality refereed journals, as evidenced by doctoral dissertation work, conference papers or presentations, or published journal articles.
Evidence of teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

Research and teaching background with emphasis on Strategic Management or Global Strategy.
Familiarity with contemporary subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

Conduct research in the area of International Business.
Teach courses in our Bachelor and Master of Business Administration and possibly Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Dynamics programs.
Potentially teach and advise in our new Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) program.
Teach courses in-person, hybrid, or online, determined by candidate expertise and department/school needs.
