About The Position

The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) seeks highly qualified applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in International Business with an Emphasis on Strategy, beginning Fall 2027. Requirements

  • Relevant earned doctorate degree in International Business or a closely related field from an AACSB or similarly accredited institution by the start date.
  • A record indicating potential for significant scholarship in high-quality refereed journals, as evidenced by doctoral dissertation work, conference papers or presentations, or published journal articles.
  • Evidence of teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Research and teaching background with emphasis on Strategic Management or Global Strategy.
  • Familiarity with contemporary subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the area of International Business.
  • Teach courses in our Bachelor and Master of Business Administration and possibly Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Dynamics programs.
  • Potentially teach and advise in our new Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) program.
  • Teach courses in-person, hybrid, or online, determined by candidate expertise and department/school needs.
