About The Position

The Assistant Professor in Organizational Behaviour, Leadership, and Human Resources plays a central role in advancing the academic mission of the program through undergraduate-level teaching, course development, student mentorship, and academic service. The position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that supports student learning, professional development, and program learning outcomes within the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (HBBA). In addition to teaching and curriculum development, the Assistant Professor contributes to scholarly or professional activity that aligns with the discipline and supports the ongoing relevance and rigor of the program. The role emphasizes excellence in teaching, meaningful engagement with students, and active participation in service activities that support the program, faculty, and broader academic community. The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration program invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Requirements

A Doctorate/Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Leadership Studies, or a related discipline with an organizational behaviour, leadership, or HR focus.
Teaching experience in the topics of: Organizational Behaviour, Leadership Theory and Practice, Human Resources Management, Talent Acquisition and Management, Organizational Development and Change Management, Employee Relations and Labour Law, Compensation and Performance Management, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace.
Canadian/Ontario teaching experience within a higher education organization.
Related industry experience and expertise in organizational behaviour, leadership development, human resources management, talent management, organizational consulting, and applied HR research to enhance student learning through real-life scenarios, applied projects, and case-based instruction.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Demonstrates effective prioritization and decision-making in high-pressure environments.
Capable of handling diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities.
Possesses strong presentation and interpersonal skills, influencing others with empathy and political acumen.
Maintains a professional manner with tact, diplomacy, and discretion when dealing with colleagues and the public.
Possesses creative problem-solving abilities and exercises sound professional judgment, especially in handling confidential/sensitive matters.
Displays a strong student-centric and inclusive orientation.
Maintains flexibility and willingness to work outside regular business hours to meet organizational needs.
