The University of Tampa's Department of Communication in the College of Arts and Letters is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in business and professional communication. This role begins in August 2027 and involves teaching and research. The faculty member will teach a load of 3 courses per semester (12 credit hours total) across two 15-week semesters annually. This position will contribute to both the undergraduate Communication and Speech Studies (CSS) program and the graduate Master of Professional Communication (MAPC) program. The ideal candidate will be a teacher-scholar committed to excellence in teaching, experienced in engaging students through experiential learning, and available for both day and evening classes. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to maintain a productive scholarly agenda and be engaged on campus. The Department of Communication is the largest in the College of Arts and Letters, offering four undergraduate majors and contributing to two interdisciplinary graduate programs. This specific position is within the Communication and Speech Studies program.
