About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics Patient Care at MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment, to join the Leukemia/Lymphoma Team. The clinical faculty position will provide robust, interdisciplinary LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA care to infants, children, adolescents, and AYAs suffering from life-threatening, life-limiting, and terminal diseases.

Requirements

  • Completed a medical degree (MD/DO) in an accredited medical school or equivalent.
  • Completed an accredited pediatrics residency program.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in general pediatrics and hematology oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Licensed as a physician in the State of Texas, or be eligible to obtain a Texas medical license.
  • Ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of critical infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship is preferable but not required.
  • Applicants with a strong background in oncology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise in pediatric Leukemia/Lymphoma care.
  • Provide an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, and students, including delivery of lectures and bedside teaching.
  • Participate and collaborate with the department's ongoing research program and scholarly work to enhance the academic environment of the department.
  • Possess strong communication skills to communicate with patients, family members, hospital staff, and other faculty members within the Institution.
