About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics Patient Care at MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment, to join the Leukemia/Lymphoma Team. The clinical faculty position will provide robust, interdisciplinary LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA care to infants, children, adolescents, and AYAs suffering from life-threatening, life-limiting, and terminal diseases.

Requirements

Completed a medical degree (MD/DO) in an accredited medical school or equivalent.
Completed an accredited pediatrics residency program.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in general pediatrics and hematology oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Licensed as a physician in the State of Texas, or be eligible to obtain a Texas medical license.
Ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of critical infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an accredited pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship is preferable but not required.
Applicants with a strong background in oncology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical expertise in pediatric Leukemia/Lymphoma care.
Provide an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, and students, including delivery of lectures and bedside teaching.
Participate and collaborate with the department's ongoing research program and scholarly work to enhance the academic environment of the department.
Possess strong communication skills to communicate with patients, family members, hospital staff, and other faculty members within the Institution.
