About The Position
The Department of Pediatrics Patient Care at MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment to join the Behavioral Health Team. The clinical faculty position will provide robust, inter-disciplinary Oncologic Psychiatry or Psychology services to infants, children, adolescents, and YAs suffering from life-threatening, life-limiting, and terminal diseases.
Requirements
- Completed a psychology degree (PhD, PsyD or EdD) in an accredited medical school or equivalent.
- Completed an accredited pediatrics residency program.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise in pediatric Oncologic Psychiatry or Psychology care.
- Provide an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents and students including delivery of lectures and bedside teaching.
- Participate and collaborate with the department's ongoing research program and scholarly work to enhance the academic environment of the department.
- Possess strong communication skills to communicate with patients, family members, hospital staff, and other faculty members within the Institution.
