About The Position

High Point University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Chemistry with a focus on analytical chemistry. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position with a start date of August 2027. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student success. Experience in separations or environmental chemistry is particularly encouraged. This role is eligible for multi-year contract extensions and promotion opportunities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student success.
• Ability to develop an active research program involving mentoring undergraduate research students.
• Ability to participate in departmental, school, and university service.
