This is a University faculty position with academic rank based on the appointee’s experience and qualifications. The incumbent will actively participate in the overall development of supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) to ensure students receive the clinical experiences required to meet program outcomes and accreditation standards. As part of the faculty team, the incumbent will also contribute to program curriculum activities, including generating and delivering classroom lectures and clinical skills instruction, evaluating students, developing assessments, and facilitating instruction, learning, and assessment activities. Michigan State University conducts criminal background checks and professional misconduct reviews for applicants in faculty, academic staff, and executive management searches. A professional misconduct review is a prerequisite for selection. Applicants will be asked to disclose pending investigations, findings, or sanctions related to professional misconduct and to authorize contact with current and former employers for the seven years before application. Employer contact occurs only if the candidate reaches the semifinalist stage. A history of professional misconduct does not automatically exclude a candidate; the University evaluates whether it is compatible with the position. Failure to sign the authorization and release results in an incomplete application and withdrawal. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
