Assistant Pool Manager
About The Position
The Town of Orono is hiring an Assistant Pool Manager for the Nickerson Pool! The Nickerson Pool is an outdoor municipal pool operated by the Town of Orono. This person will assist the Parks and Recreation Director and the Pool Operations Manager in ensuring the Nickerson Pool has a fun and safe summer season. This position will be required to work some weekends and assist in administrative tasks as assigned. Applications are rolling until the position is filled. Formal onboarding and training days are tentatively scheduled for the week of June 15th. The tentative pool schedule is from Mid-June until late August. Tentative pool hours are from 11am-7pm. Daily schedules will include a guard rotation. This is a seasonal position reporting to the Parks and Recreation Director and will work closely with the Pool Manager.
Requirements
- Experience working as a lifeguard in public pools.
- Must hold a current Lifeguard Certification.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Friendly demeanor towards patrons.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Parks and Recreation Director and the Pool Operations Manager in ensuring a fun and safe summer season at the Nickerson Pool.
- Assist in administrative tasks as assigned.
- Work closely with the Pool Manager.
