About The Position

Performs intermediate and specified tasks in the management of pool operations, including scheduling, concessions, and general equipment maintenance. Supervises staff, staffing facilities, and enforces safety compliance. Work is performed under general supervision of pool manager and the Assistant Parks Superintendent, with continuous supervision of assigned seasonal staff.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of water safety regulations, pool operations, water maintenance, sales, and concessions
  • Proficiency in computers and POS systems
  • customer service skills, with the ability to assist and interact with the general public in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to identify and address safety concerns or potential risks
  • Ability to generate reports, maintain accurate records, and track inventory
  • ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and the public, including handling difficult interactions with some.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license in the State of Indiana.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR, first aid, and Life Saving Certification, or Water Safety Instructor, preferred, prior to employment.
  • Certified Pool Operator’s Certificate, preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily pool operations, including admission, food, and swim activities.
  • Supervise and schedule staff, ensuring proper training.
  • Manage inventory and ensure that all supplies are stocked.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on operations, inventory, equipment, and safety.
  • Ensure safe pool operations, per safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility and surrounding areas for safety hazards, damages, or liabilities.
  • Respond to emergency situations and accidents.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
