The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses as needed, support recruitment, curriculum development and accreditation, and participate in departmental service. The position also involves interdisciplinary collaboration and service on departmental, college, university, professional, and community committees. TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with more than 8,000 students in a bicultural city. The multidisciplinary department includes psychology and communication programs, productive psychology researchers, and research labs. The community and department provide opportunities for bilingual and multicultural research. The university offers competitive salaries and benefits, additional pay for summer teaching, professional development support such as conference attendance, and moving expenses covered in whole or in part.
