About The Position

Serve as an attending physician providing care for critically ill children in the Critical Care service at Children's Hospital Colorado. This role involves working on teams with learners and advanced practice providers, as well as independently. Clinical service includes shifts with days and in-house nights, with a mix of team types determined by the medical director. Responsibilities include supervising and educating residents, fellows, students, and advanced practice providers, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to departmental and institutional missions.

Requirements

Three or more years’ experience as pediatric intensivist (for Assistant Professor).
Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
Board certified / Board eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
7 or more years’ experience as pediatric intensivist (for Associate Professor).
Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality, evidence-based critical care to children in the PICU.
Ensure responsive, high-quality and consistent service to all customers of the CHCO PICU including patients, families and referring providers.
Maintain acceptable performance under the Section’s Ongoing Professional Evaluation matrix.
Participating in appropriate committees within the Section of Critical Care and CHCO.
Support Section and hospital efforts in quality improvement and education.
