About The Position

Tenured or tenure-track position in Higher Education. This position will be for a Spring or Fall 2027 start date. Faculty are expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities: Teach online. Implement a significant, ongoing program of focused scholarly research and publications, including collaborative efforts with appropriate content area faculty. Provide service and leadership to national and regional professional organizations, the university, college, and department. Chair and serve on master’s and doctoral student committees. Advise master’s and doctoral students. Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Maintain a professional environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and effective engagement with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to the effective delivery of teaching, programming, and service activities. Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must hold an earned doctorate in the field or study of Higher Education or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution in the United States.
  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must have a beginning record of scholarly research productivity.
  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must have demonstrated teaching ability and experience at the graduate level.
  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must have the potential to direct doctoral dissertations.
  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and intellectual contributions to the discipline (research).
  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must be proficient in the English language both orally and in writing.
  • For consideration as an assistant professor, the candidate must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must hold an earned doctorate in the field or study of Higher Education or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution in the United States.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have a substantial record of scholarly research productivity.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have demonstrated teaching ability and experience at the graduate level.

  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and intellectual contributions to the discipline (research).
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must be proficient in the English language both orally and in writing.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have demonstrated expertise in online delivery of instruction.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have demonstrated experience in curriculum and program development.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • For consideration as an associate professor, the candidate must have demonstrated the ability to collaborate effectively with all members of the university community and a commitment to meet the professional needs of the region’s varied populations.
