About The Position

This role is for a Food & Nutrition Services leader who enjoys developing teams and creating exceptional service experiences. The Assistant Operations Manager will lead daily operations, support and develop staff, and partner with hospital leaders to ensure high-quality dining and nutrition services for patients, visitors, and team members at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or GED Equivalent (relevant experience or 1 year in prior TriHealth Nutrition role is acceptable in lieu of minimum education) (Required)
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in Food and Nutrition or service-related field with high customer/client contact required
  • Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of health care Food and Nutrition or Hospitality Management preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and annually reviews standards and work procedures for all Dietary staff
  • Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered
  • Assists in the hiring process; interview, hiring and training of new associates. Orients, develops, and supervises all supervisory of FANS staff. Staff education and training.
  • Conducts regular inspections and makes recommendations to the facility
  • Monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plans. Communication with staff, administration, and other departments.
  • Direct Report FTEs = 60-99 Indirect Report FTEs = 60-99
  • Conduct department huddles. Generally, clinical departments hold daily huddles, non-clinical hold weekly huddles.
  • Regularly Round on Team Members, using questions from the rounding log.
  • Lead monthly team meetings using meeting agenda template; review stoplight report; cascade key leadership messages.
  • Model, coach and validate team members use of TriHealth Way behaviors (AIDET + Promise, Always Behaviors and Always HEARD).
