About The Position
Baptist Downtown is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Heart 4 North Cardiac Surgical Progressive Care team. This is a full-time day-shift opportunity, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Assistant Nurse Manager supports unit operations and staff while helping deliver quality patient care.
Requirements
- Two years of hospital nursing experience.
- Associate of Science degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nurse Manager with unit or area operations.
- Work closely with direct care staff during the shift to deliver quality patient care.
- Serve as an expert clinical resource.
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge flow.
- Take a lead role in implementing changes.
- Support and coach staff development.
- Make shift-to-shift patient care assignments.
- Take a direct patient care assignment as needed.
