About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager for the NICU Inpatient Unit assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for operating the assigned unit. The role combines clinical expertise with leadership and nursing management principles to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care and ensure satisfaction for internal and external customers. The Assistant Nurse Manager also maintains clinical skills and knowledge to provide direct care for a patient caseload as needed, assumes administrative responsibilities when the nurse manager is absent, and provides coverage for colleagues.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar setting or unit.
• Evidence of progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Current and maintained clinical skills and knowledge to provide direct care for a caseload of patients as required.

• Master’s degree preferred.
