Registered Nurse - Assistant Nurse Manager I - Branson Step Down - Full time Nights
About The Position
The Assistant Nurse Manager works in the Branson Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit, caring for a diverse population of higher-acuity patients in a collaborative, team-focused environment. The unit is similar to a cardiac/neuro telemetry unit and maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5. Nurses provide specialized care to patients who may require BiPAP, Optiflow, cardiac infusions, and insulin drips. The unit emphasizes teamwork, respect, compassion, evidence-based practice, outstanding patient outcomes, professional growth, lifelong learning, and career advancement. The role uses the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate care. It provides direct and indirect patient care and leads the patient care team toward achieving goals in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. The Assistant Nurse Manager leads employees to accomplish job objectives and inspires confidence and motivation to enhance employee satisfaction.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Must obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within three years.
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Valuable time management skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- At least five years of clinical experience.
- One year of charge nurse experience.
- One year of experience in the area of specialization.
