Ortho/Neuro Assistant Nurse Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Nurse Manager supervises and coordinates patient care personnel within the assigned clinical area and/or facility, helping meet patient care requirements in accordance with physician instructions, MultiCare Health System policies, and approved patient care standards. The role combines administrative and patient care functions, uses independent clinical decision-making, and carries out tasks appropriate to the clinical specialty. The Assistant Nurse Manager also recommends new or revised unit methods for defining quality management goals. This is an exempt position with a variable shift and a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week. The role is associated with Ortho/Neuro at MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years of the initial hire date. An RN with 15 or more years of service, or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may be considered to satisfy this requirement in lieu of an education agreement.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Two years of clinical experience in a professional or technical role/function.
- Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, or ARNP).
- Certification in a clinical specialty.
