About The Position
Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our New Free-Standing Emergency Department at Baptist Silverleaf. This full-time Night shift (36 hours) leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing emergency team while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Responsible for overseeing, directing, and providing care to patients requiring immediate treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
Requirements
- 3-5 Years Medical Surgical Experience
- 3-5 Years Nursing Experience
- Telemetry Experience
- Leadership Experience
- Charge Nurse Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
- Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients as needed to support unit operations
- Assess and reassess unit workflow and clinical performance to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments
- Act as a clinical and operational resource for staff; mentor team members and provide ongoing feedback
- Monitor and adjust staffing and man-hours in alignment with the unit budget
- Assist the Nurse Manager with employee relations, including disciplinary actions and annual performance evaluations
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence
