About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Nights with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:00pm-7:00am. The Emergency Department at Baptist Jacksonville is a large, high-acuity emergency center serving patients from across Northeast Florida. As Baptist Health’s flagship hospital, this facility provides advanced emergency care supported by leading specialists, cutting-edge technology, and strong clinical collaboration. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Associate of Science in Nursing Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
