About The Position

The Assistant Merchant supports the Merchant team in developing an exciting, customer-focused product assortment that meets or exceeds sales and profit goals. The role responds to customer feedback and market trends and works with the Merchant to develop plans that drive growth and profitability. The position is located at Corporate FAS Retail Services in Fort Myers, Florida. Duties may vary by brand.

Requirements

• One year of experience required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of retail math.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize tasks while balancing immediate and long-term business needs.
• Ability to multitask and complete projects on time.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Merchant to develop a competitive, customer-focused merchandise assortment.
• Partner with Production and Allocation teams to manage delivery flow and resolve issues.
• Build partnerships across cross-functional teams, including Planning, Product Development, Marketing, Allocation, and Visual.
• Manage order entry and product attributing based on the approved buy plan, and initiate purchase order revisions when applicable.
• Organize and track samples by season, classification, and delivery.
• Coordinate with Digital Commerce Merchandising Site Operations and International teams on the final assortment and updates.
• Travel to stores to connect with customers.
• Respond urgently to business needs.
• Perform ad hoc reporting to support merchandising and analysis.
