Assistant Merchandiser - Women's Dresses & Skirts
About The Position
An Assistant Merchandiser supports seasonal assortment execution for the department and serves as a point person for cross-functional partners in production, marketing, design, allocation, and planning. The role assists Merchants in organizing assortments that align with department strategy and increase earnings; identifies product opportunities and develops expertise in the competitive landscape; and partners with Design and Production on product strategies and requirements to meet customer needs, support AUC profitability, and accelerate speed to market. The Assistant Merchandiser also collaborates with Planning and Allocation on seasonal market investment strategy, communicates seasonal strategies to cross-functional teams, prepares and analyzes selling recaps, and manages samples. The position is for Women's Dresses & Skirts. J.Crew describes its workplace as inclusive and sustainable and notes a hybrid work model. The listed hourly range is $25.48–$29.74. Requirements
- 0–1 years of merchandising experience.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with departmental execution of seasonal assortments.
- Act as a point person for cross-functional business partners in production, marketing, design, allocation, and planning.
- Assist Merchants in organizing assortments aligned with overall department strategy to increase earnings.
- Identify product opportunities and become an expert in the competitive landscape.
- Partner with Design and Production on product strategies and requirements to meet customer needs, support AUC profitability, and improve speed to market.
- Partner with Planning and Allocation on seasonal investment strategy by market to protect big ideas and growth drivers.
- Communicate seasonal strategies collaboratively to key cross-functional teams to support innovation and financial success.
- Prepare and analyze selling recaps.
- Manage samples.
