About The Position

The Assistant Meat Manager helps develop the skills, knowledge, and expertise needed to become a successful Market Manager. The role supervises and ensures that Floco Foods’ customer service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the meat/seafood department to achieve maximum sales. The Assistant Meat Manager assumes the Department Manager’s duties in their absence.

Requirements

• Good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others and interact with guests.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise hosts, including training and development.
• Willingness and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements, including operating a computer.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Meat cutting experience.
