About The Position
The Assistant Manager performs general operational duties, including operating equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage and work areas; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory; completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and co-workers verbally and in writing, both by phone and in person. It also involves safely driving a personal vehicle for pizza deliveries, navigating roads and maps, and traversing delivery-site terrain and stairs while carrying products. The position requires basic arithmetic to make correct monetary change, with a calculator permitted. The work includes physical activity and exposure to varying conditions indoors and outdoors.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers, over the phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive a personal vehicle and navigate roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
