About The Position
The Assistant Manager at Nordstrom’s specialty coffee location supports the operation and success of the unit while developing as a leader. The role combines team leadership and teaching, with training on the full range of responsibilities involved in running a successful unit. The Assistant Manager hires, trains, manages, and motivates employees to deliver excellent customer service. They help maintain customer satisfaction, follow company procedures, and support productivity and cost goals. The position requires a flexible schedule and at least two years of coffee bar management experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of coffee bar management experience.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- A food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations.
- Ambition to grow as a leader and pursue future opportunities in a larger leadership assignment.
- Career interest in the fast-paced food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities
- Complete a comprehensive Manager in Training program covering the operation of a successful unit.
- Hire, train, manage, and motivate employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Support unit success by maintaining customer satisfaction, complying with company procedures, and managing productivity and costs.
