About The Position

The Assistant Manager role includes the general duties and working conditions described for hourly store team members, as well as the duties and requirements listed for store management positions. Team members operate equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The work involves communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone, entering orders by keyboard or touchscreen, handling money, and performing repetitive tasks while meeting quality standards. Most tasks are performed standing, with continuous reaching and hand use. Work may involve lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, bending, crouching, and occasionally using stairs or a ladder. The environment may include variable temperatures, weather exposure, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

The posting also describes delivery duties for driver or store management positions: delivering products by car to customers, distributing flyers and door hangers, and navigating delivery areas and sites. These duties require a valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone to process orders.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the physical activities described in the posting.
• For delivery duties: valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• For delivery duties: access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• For delivery duties: navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
• For delivery duties: ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
