About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager with day-to-day convenience store operations and serves as acting manager when the Store Manager is off. The role combines customer service, team leadership, merchandising, inventory, scheduling, cash handling, and store upkeep. Candidates must have open availability, including weekends and holidays, and should expect to work primarily second or third shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts; open availability is required.
Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
Must be comfortable cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be proficient in English and have basic math skills.
Must be willing to learn.
Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Run the register and assist customers quickly and accurately with a positive attitude.
Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
Help hire, train, and lead a team focused on customer service and store success.
Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
Handle daily cash, make deposits, and oversee store financials.
Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
