About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick arithmetic, handling monetary change, order-taking and communication skills, precise motor coordination, computer or touchscreen order entry, and the ability to follow and communicate written instructions. Delivery duties require map-reading and address-finding skills, as well as navigating varied terrain and delivery locations while carrying products. Starting pay is $17–$19 per hour. Health insurance is available for full-time positions; management roles are eligible for bonuses.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
