About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment; stocks ingredients from the delivery area in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares product; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes associated paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers product by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role requires navigating the designated delivery area and delivery sites, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and adverse terrain while carrying product. The listed starting pay is $20–$30 per hour. Health insurance is available for full-time positions; 401(k) and management-role bonus eligibility are also listed.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain and delivery sites while carrying product.
