About The Position

The Assistant Manager achieves sales growth and maintains company standards of excellence for an assigned shift by managing food-service activity, assigning tasks, overseeing cash control, and ensuring high-quality food and hospitality. Under the General Manager’s direction, the role helps train, develop, and retain Team Members, supports the General Manager, and assists with overall restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Team Members and Shift Leaders while maintaining standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and profitability.
• Coordinate staff training with team trainers.
• Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with management and Team Members.
• Handle HR matters as they arise, including disciplinary write-ups.
• Conduct team meetings as needed to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.
• Conduct weekly inventories.
• Control payroll to meet company labor-cost standards.
• Control inventory to meet company GAP standards.
• Support the management team and General Manager in operational decisions.
• Maintain reports and records according to company standards and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maintain the building and equipment through proper operating, cleaning, and preventive-maintenance procedures.
• Take responsibility for cash on all shifts, including bank deposits, and ensure cash procedures are followed.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
• Meet company standards for personal appearance and display professionalism.
• Follow HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe, compliant environment.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.
