The Assistant Manager helps run a Domino’s Pizza store by leading the team, maintaining customer-service and product-quality standards, and overseeing shift operations. The role is responsible for what happens during the shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls; staffing and paperwork; food management; scheduling; store cleanliness and image; marketing; customer relations; and profitability. Assistant Managers are expected to follow all policies and procedures and set an example for the crew. Paid on-the-job training is provided through the Management Development Program, which trains and certifies Assistant Managers. The program supports self-paced learning and advancement, and may provide a pathway toward general management and, for eligible store managers, franchise ownership. Compensation is described as an industry-competitive salary, with eligibility for performance-based wage increases and sometimes incentives based on store profitability and performance. The position involves general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking and preparing products, processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning. Work takes place in a fast-paced, high-volume store environment and includes physical tasks and exposure to varied temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
