About The Position
The Assistant Manager performs in-store and delivery duties, including operating equipment, stocking and preparing ingredients and products, receiving telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning the equipment and facility. The role also delivers products by car to customers and distributes flyers and door hangers. Training and orientation are provided on the job. The position requires open availability, a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards, and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries. Applicants must pass a background check. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, following written instructions, and training and leading others. Work involves standing for most tasks, frequent reaching and hand use, bending and occasional crouching, lifting and carrying supplies, and navigating stairs and other delivery locations. Employees may encounter varying weather, extreme temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must pass a background check and have open availability.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by phone to process orders.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to lift and handle deliveries that may weigh up to 50 pounds and stack cases on shelves up to 72 inches high.
- Ability to perform the standing, walking, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching duties described in the posting.
Responsibilities
