About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role includes inspiring and motivating associates, supporting a customer-focused selling culture, ensuring execution of store KPIs, and holding associates accountable for company policies and procedures. The position also involves coaching associates, supporting store operations and visual standards, maintaining merchandise flow and store organization, and helping provide a safe and engaging customer experience. This is a full-time position requiring 32–40 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Requirements

Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Proficient in math and strong computer skills.
Ability to work 32–40 hours per week and accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Ability to frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.

Responsibilities

Deliver an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience and ensure team members do the same.
Handle customer situations according to policy and procedures, attempt to resolve issues, and escalate when appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Act as floor supervisor as needed, including covering breaks and other non-peak periods.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide feedback on Sales Associate performance.
Recognize and reward outstanding performance to support associate engagement.
Direct associates to ensure they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Improve efficiency in store operational processes.
Maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the PacSun brand through passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
