About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of a high-energy convenience store, helping maintain strong customer service and store performance. The position requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, and work primarily on second or third shifts. The Assistant Manager may act as manager when the Store Manager is off and helps lead, coach, and motivate the store team.

Requirements

• Open availability to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
• Comfort performing physical tasks such as cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas including fuel pumps.
• At least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Operate the register and assist customers promptly and accurately.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a team focused on customer service and store success.
• Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Handle daily cash, make deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
