About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the General Manager with day-to-day operations. The company is a small franchise employing 10–15 people and seeks a self-motivated, organized, hardworking person with team-building skills who wants to grow with the company. The role involves helping create and deliver outstanding products, and includes delivery duties. The position offers hourly pay on a bi-weekly schedule, flexible schedules, incentives, earned bonuses, earned paid vacation, overtime, and employee discounts. The store is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The job requires working 35–50 hours per week and availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Duties and working conditions include standing for long periods, walking, lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling trays, bending, reaching, crouching, squatting, climbing, handling extreme temperatures, repetitive hand use, working with chemical cleaners, and driving deliveries to customers. Physical details include frequent use of hands and arms, occasional stairs or ladder use, and possible delivery routes involving five or more flights of stairs. Driving duties include delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The employee must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record meeting company standards, access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery, and approved vehicle insurance covering delivery drivers. The posting also requires a motor vehicle report from the DMV and specifies limits on traffic violations and a minimum of two years of driving experience.

Must be able to work with chemical cleaners, including degreaser, mop solution, and sanitizer.
Minimum age of 18 years.
Minimum of two years of driving experience.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Maximum of three traffic violations in three years or two in two years.
Access to a reliable vehicle that complies with store and corporate safety standards and can be used for delivery.
Approved vehicle insurance that covers delivery drivers.
Must be able to provide a motor vehicle report from the DMV.

Nice To Haves

Food handler’s license preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of two years in the food industry preferred.
Minimum of two years of management skills preferred.
