About The Position

Taco John's is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Colby, Kansas restaurant. The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in keeping the restaurant profitable, efficient, and operating smoothly. The role combines team leadership and customer service with hands-on work in food preparation, order assembly, and customer transactions. The Assistant Manager helps lead a team of around 20 people, including Shift Managers and crew members, and may open or close the store.

The position is 35–40 hours per week, with shifts listed as 6:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. The employer says it works with employees on scheduling around personal commitments. Compensation is $18.00–$21.00 per hour based on experience, with quarterly bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain overall management responsibilities to keep the restaurant profitable, efficient, and running smoothly.
• Direct and coordinate food preparation, order assembly, and customer transactions, and participate in those activities.
• Interview, hire, and train new team members.
• Coordinate daily team activities and assist with scheduling the customer service team.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory control.
• Lead by example and actively manage the team to meet budgets and build sales.
• Open or close the store as needed.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, quality food service, and team member success.
