About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes associated paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors, distributing flyers and door hangers, and navigating the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings while carrying products. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, order-taking and communication skills, precise hand-eye coordination, computer keyboard or touchscreen use, and the ability to understand and give written instructions. The employee communicates with customers and coworkers in person and by phone to process orders.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by phone to process orders.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain and carry products.
